NEIP Explores Partnership with McDan Group to Boost Youth Entrepreneurship
The Management of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has held talks with the McDan Group aimed at strengthening support for youth entrepreneurship and innovation in Ghana.
The NEIP delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Eric Adjei, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive of McDan Group, Mr. Daniel McKorley, to explore areas of collaboration that could help expand entrepreneurship programmes and create jobs for young people.
During the meeting, the NEIP team presented updates on key initiatives currently being implemented by the programme, including the Adwumawura Programme and the Student Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) initiative. The programmes are designed to support young entrepreneurs through training, funding opportunities and business development support.
Mr. McKorley welcomed the initiative and expressed his readiness to partner with NEIP in supporting young entrepreneurs. He stressed the importance of building sustainable businesses that can create long-term employment for Ghanaian youth.
He also highlighted the need to complement financial and technical support with mentorship, noting that experienced business leaders have a critical role to play in guiding emerging entrepreneurs. Mr. McKorley indicated his willingness to personally support the mentorship of young entrepreneurs under the programme.
Mr. Adjei commended the McDan Group for its contribution to job creation through entrepreneurship and private sector investment. He reaffirmed NEIP’s commitment to working with Mr. McKorley and other industry leaders to nurture the next generation of Ghanaian entrepreneurs and strengthen the country’s enterprise ecosystem.
