Youth are warmly invited to join the National Commemoration of World Drug Day 2026

Jun 26, 2026

The National Youth Authority (NYA), in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), warmly invites young people across Ghana to participate in the National Commemoration of World Drug Day 2026, to be held on Friday, 26 June 2026.

Observed annually on 26 June, World Drug Day—officially known as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking—raises awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourages collective action towards building healthier, safer, and drug-free communities.

This year’s national commemoration will bring together government officials, youth organizations, educational institutions, civil society groups, and other stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions and activities aimed at promoting drug abuse prevention and youth empowerment.

The Chief of Staff is expected to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour and deliver the keynote address.
