MFWA Opens Applications for 2026 Next Generation Investigative Journalism Fellowship
Young journalists and aspiring media professionals in Ghana have the opportunity to sharpen their investigative reporting skills as the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has opened applications for the 9th Edition of the Next Generation Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Fellowship.
The fellowship is a fully funded three-month residential programme designed to equip participants with practical investigative journalism skills while promoting accountability, transparency, and ethical reporting in Ghana.
About the Fellowship
The NGIJ Fellowship provides intensive, hands-on training led by experienced investigative journalists and media experts. Participants will build practical skills in:
- Investigative journalism techniques
- Data journalism
- Fact-checking and verification
- Using Ghana’s Right to Information (RTI) Act
- Accountability and anti-corruption reporting
- Story development and production
